Our founders began their careers working in large consulting firms whose work often left customers feeling dissatisfied and in no better position to achieve their goals. Our flashy presentations and thick consulting reports may have provided some insightful analysis, but fell short of helping leaders to take action to achieve measurable success.

Later, as leaders of organizations who hired consultants, we witnessed the same problem but from the customer’s perspective. Namely, the consultants we hired provided us with the approach and answers they knew, but not with the tools to address our issues within the complex environment we faced in our organizations.

From these experiences we learned that the ability to help others define and achieve their goals is an area of expertise in its own right, and we have put this skill at the centerpiece of our work.

Lisa Morgan

Lisa Morgan is the Trusted Advisor to Leaders of Private, Non-Profit, and Federal, State, County, and Local governments nationwide.

Clients attribute their successful partnership with Lisa to her experience as an Executive responsible with leading change herself. She has walked in the shoes of her clients and has succeeded in the face of the same challenges and pressures they face. Lisa has successfully led several large-scale change management initiatives that have enabled large and complex organizations to achieve measurable performance improvement and significant culture change. Lisa’s clients also benefit from her work with numerous and varied organizations as a consultant for a large consulting firm and from the academic and innovative insights that she offers. Lisa holds a Master of Public Administration from the American University with a concentration in Organizational Development, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University majoring in Political Science. Lisa’s graduate certificate in Information Telecommunications Systems is from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, and her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is from Villanova University. Lisa is a certified Leadership Coach from Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. 

Doug Smith

Doug Smith’s expertise is his ability to help organizations make vital connections between their goals and the data that measures customer satisfaction, service delivery, employee performance, and financial performance.

Doug’s recent work is vital to current efforts to automate and transform paper-based and in-person business processes into online applications. Doug enables organizations to quickly realize significant reductions in in-person and mail-in processes, to reduce the time from request-to-issuance, and to focus staff time and attention on assisting customers with more complex requirements. Customers can now initiate and complete their transactions remotely and receive digital documents and receipts as needed.

He has been responsible for mission-critical data and information management analysis that has helped organizations develop informed strategic plans, operational business plans and performance reports at the Federal and local levels of government.

Doug led the strategic planning effort of the nation’s capital that integrated citizen feedback, stakeholder engagement, and municipal agency accountability data to chart its transition back to local government autonomy from Federal oversight.

Doug’s experience also includes Change Management, Process Reengineering, Balanced Scorecard and Agile Software Development.

Doug holds a Master’s Degree in Public and Private Management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Virginia. Doug maintains his skills in the ever-changing technical landscape with a regimen of continuing education training in data analysis (SQL, R and Python) and coding (Python and JavaScript) among others.
